European Boxing successfully organized its second Ringside Doctor Course that was held on 12-13 September 2026 in Zagreb, Croatia, continuing its commitment to the highest standards of athlete health, safety, and medical excellence within the sport.
The course brought together medical professionals and boxing experts to further develop the knowledge and practical skills required to serve as ringside doctors at European Boxing events. Participants received specialized training on athlete welfare, injury assessment, emergency procedures, concussion management, and the unique medical responsibilities associated with boxing competitions.
This educational initiative forms part of European Boxing’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its medical framework and ensure that all competitions are supported by highly qualified medical personnel capable of providing the highest level of care to athletes.
European Boxing would like to express its sincere appreciation to the Croatian Boxing Federation for its outstanding hospitality and support in hosting the course. Special thanks are also extended to the European Boxing Medical Commission for its dedication, expertise, and hard work in preparing and delivering the educational programme.
