The next important European event, the Olympic Hopes Tournament will take place for the U19, U17 and U15 age groups in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina on June 18-21. The competition will start with 22 bouts today with such a young star as Bahrain’s Asian U17 Champion Jayden Price opens the entire event.
Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Palestine, Romania, Samoa, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and United Arab Emirates have registered to the competition in Sarajevo.
The pre-training camp of the competition was held between June 8 and 18 in the fully equipped and professional boxing gym of the BK Novi Grad with high quality of equipment and professional staff.
Bosnia & Herzegovina’s new event support the preparation of the U19, U17 and U15 boxers and both genders. The Bosnian & Herzegovians are planning to be more active in the international stage of boxing and hosting more events in the upcoming years.
The U15, U17 and U19 boxers have a busy year with their international duties with European and World events in the upcoming months.
The 2008 and 2009 born boxers will be able to compete in the U19 age group which will have World Championships in Budva, Montenegro this October.
Boxers who were born in 2010 and in 2011 are eligible to participate in the U17 part of the competition in Sarajevo. The Olympic Hopes Tournament will prepare these talents to the upcoming European U17 Boxing Championships which will be held in Budva, Montenegro on October 1-11.
The 2012 and 2013 born boxers will be able to participate in the U15 age group and the Olympic Hopes is also a preparation for them to the European Championships.
