The first U15 European Boxing Championships under European Boxing was successfully finished in Budva, the city at the coast of Adriatic Sea in Montenegro. It was a spectacular event which lasted from 16-26 October, and gathered 369 boxers from 32 countries.
After eight days of boxing, 33 new European champions were crowned, 16 in women’s and 17 in men’s age group. All the final bouts were held in the phenomenal atmosphere of the Mediterranean Sports Center, where those 13 and 14 year-old boxers showed amazing talent, skills and heart.

The best female boxer is Leona Anaman from England, who boxed in the 54 kg weight category. She managed to win four bouts at this competition, defeating her rivals from Germany, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Turkey.

The best male boxer is Patric Casey from Ireland. He competed in the 44 kg weight category. In the final bout, Casey defeated Falah Husam from Israel by unanimous decision.

The best referee is Maria Blagoeva from Bulgaria, while trophies for best teams went to England, Ukraine and Ireland. England made great results at this championships winning 10 gold medals, 1 silver and 2 bronze. Ukraine won 6 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals, and team Ireland has 4 champions, 3 vice-champions and 6 bronze medalists.
European Boxing U15 Championships was organized at a high level, with the Boxing Association of Montenegro once again showing all of their organizational skills and abilities. During the championships, the LOC hosted the European Boxing Executive Board meeting. Event was attended by Boris van der Vorst, World Boxing President, Lars Brovil, European Boxing President and Michael Muller, World Boxing Executive Board member.
