The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw of the Boxam U15-U17-U19 Tournament took place in the Podium Hotel in La Nucia, Spain today evening.
Altogether 246 female and male boxers from 21 nations from four continents will be competing in the new edition of the Boxam Tournament.
The Royal Spanish Boxing Federation’s top event, the Boxam Tournament for the U15, U17 and U19 boxers will take place in La Nucia, Spain between August 31 and September 6. The finals will be separated into three parts, the U15s on Day3, the U17s on Day4 and the U19s on Day5.
Austria, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Iceland, Kuwait, Latvia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Serbia, host Spain, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Venezuela are participating in the Boxam U15-U17-U19 Tournament.
The President of the Royal Spanish Boxing Federation Mr. Felipe Martinez welcomed all of the teams in his speech and underlined the importance of the competition.
Mr. Josip Grbavac of Croatia is the Technical Delegate of the Boxam U15-U17-U19 Tournament following his work at the European U19 Boxing Championships as Competition Manager.
Mr. Alex Ferrero and Mr. Francisco Rojo are the Competition Managers of the event where Sting is the equipment provider.
The Technical Delegate of the Boxam Tournament introduced the eligibility, the event schedule, the official draw, the daily weigh-in, the key technical and competition rules, the prohibited activities, the daily passes, and the award ceremonies of the event.
Spain’s top event will take place in the Camilo Cano Sports Hall which was also the venue of the record-breaking 2022 Youth World Boxing Championships.
