Twenty-one nations and more than 130 boxers have registered to participate in the upcoming Mustafa Hajrulahovic Talijan Memorial Tournament which will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina this week.

The European Boxing’s Gold competition, the 24th edition of the Mustafa Hajrulahovic Talijan Memorial Tournament will open with its first competition day tomorrow on the 29th and the finals are scheduled to be held on the last day of the month, on the 31st.

The forthcoming Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial Tournament will be a combination of a top-tier organization, excellent facilities, major media coverage and strong interest from the National Federations.

Albania, Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine are among the European nations which are planning to participate in the event.

Afghanistan, Japan and Palestine have registered to send their teams from the Asian continent to Bosnia & Herzegovina’s capital city before the Asian Games.

Algeria, Gambia, Nigeria and Ghana will arrive from the African continent to the Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial Tournament but more nations are still expected to participate.

Bosnia & Herzegovina’s next international event gives the opportunity for the elite and U19 boxers to prepare well for their upcoming championships.

The elite boxers can compete in 7 women and 10 men weight categories at the Hajrulahovic Memorial Tournament. The U19 boxers will have also seventeen divisions, 7 women and 10 men in the upcoming event.

The venue of the competition will be the official accommodation of the competition, the 4-stars Spa Hotel Terme, which means all of the teams can walk from their hotel rooms to the boxing hall.

The Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial Tournament has also a tradition among the European events and it is the most famous boxing competition in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
